While it runs, the Cathedral Rock and Soldier Pass trailhead lots are closed to the public, so plan to ride it on those days. Check the current schedule before you go.

West Sedona runs along Highway 89A west of the Y, below Thunder Mountain (also called Capitol Butte) and Coffee Pot Rock. It is where locals shop, with the town's larger grocery stores, casual restaurants and coffee, and it is quieter than Uptown while sitting closer to the trailheads on the west side of town.

During shuttle operating hours, including additional peak-period service, the Soldier Pass and Cathedral Rock lots are closed, so take the free Sedona Shuttle to those trails.
