Sedona Epic Dream puts its hot tub on the rooftop facing Cathedral Rock. Sedona Shangri-La pairs a hot tub with an infrared sauna and a cold plunge for a full contrast circuit. Uptown Estate has two.

Know Before You Go

Sedona sits at about 4,350 feet, so the desert air cools fast after sunset even on warm days. Winter nights often drop near freezing, and snow dusts the red rocks a few times in most winters, which is when a hot tub under clear skies is at its best. After a long hike to Devil's Bridge or Cathedral Rock, a soak is the easiest recovery plan.

Main Street has the shops, galleries, restaurants and tour offices, and Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village sits just south of the roundabout at the Y. From the homes closest to Main Street, dinner is a walk; from the rest, it is a short drive.

While it runs, the Cathedral Rock and Soldier Pass trailhead lots are closed to the public, so plan to ride it on those days. Check the current schedule before you go.

West Sedona runs along Highway 89A west of the Y, below Thunder Mountain (also called Capitol Butte) and Coffee Pot Rock. It is where locals shop, with the town's larger grocery stores, casual restaurants and coffee, and it is quieter than Uptown while sitting closer to the trailheads on the west side of town.

Tip: Many trailheads around Sedona require a Red Rock Pass (or an America the Beautiful pass) displayed in your car. Buy one online or at a trailhead kiosk before you park. During shuttle operating hours, including additional peak-period service, the Soldier Pass and Cathedral Rock lots are closed, so take the free Sedona Shuttle to those trails.

The Village of Oak Creek sits south of central Sedona on Highway 179, beside Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. It has its own grocery store, restaurants and golf, and it is the first part of Sedona you reach on the drive up from Phoenix.

Every home listed on this page has its own private hot tub, and Uptown Estate has two because it combines two neighboring houses. It is the one amenity the whole portfolio shares. At Sedona Gecko in the Village of Oak Creek the hot tub is solar-heated and warm year-round.
Is the hot tub included, or is it an extra charge?
At every home except Sedona Shangri-La the hot tub is part of the nightly rate, ready to use year-round. Sedona Shangri-La is the exception: it has no pool, and its hot tub heating is an optional $50 per night add-on chosen at booking, the same way pool and swim spa heating work at the other homes from October through May.
