People come to Sedona for one thing first: the rocks. Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Coffee Pot, Thunder Mountain, the whole ring of red sandstone that turns orange at sunrise and deep purple at dusk. A vacation home with a real view means you see that show from the hot tub, the deck and the breakfast table instead of driving to a trailhead for it.

It depends on what you want to see. For Cathedral Rock specifically, Sedona Epic Dream frames it from a rooftop hot tub. For the widest sweep, Sedona Shangri-La has a 180-degree panorama from its West Sedona hillside. For a view with the town at your feet, the Uptown homes with view decks.
Why is Sedona Dream not on this page?
Because we describe it by what it does best, which is location. It is a short walk from Uptown shops and restaurants with a 30x15 heated pool, hot tub and sauna, and we would rather you choose it for that than for a view we do not lead with.
Are West Sedona or Uptown views better?
Different, not better. West Sedona homes sit on hillsides with wider, quieter panoramas and darker skies. Uptown homes look over the red rock skyline with the town, galleries and restaurants a few minutes on foot. Both are close to the main trailheads. Our Where to Stay in Sedona guide goes deeper.
When is the light best on the red rocks?
First light and the last hour before sunset. The rocks face different directions, so Cathedral Rock is a sunset formation while much of the Uptown skyline lights up at sunrise. A home with a view lets you catch both without leaving the deck.
Can I see the view from the hot tub?

Do view homes cost more?
